These machines are shipped brand new in factory sealed box. They're shipped dry meaning the crankcase has no oil and there's no gas in the gas tank. If a person puts one together and starts it up without putting oil in it he will seize the engine immediately. These are very powerful machines. It's not recommended to use the washer on wood because it will damage the wood. When washing cars or RV's etc... never keep the jet pointed at the same spot for any length of time. Most home power washers are 1100 - 1650 psi with a very small orifice to reduce the volume of water. This monster pumps 2 1/2 gallons of water per minute. A power washer jet should never be directed at a person. Even the lowest 1100 psi power washer jet will hurt. One of the advantages of this machine is that it has a brass head. Most low grade power washers have an aluminum head which corrodes very quickly and eventually clogs up and cracks. Brass is much more durable and will last the entire life of the machine
